The City of Buellton hired John Herrera and MuniTemps staff to assist with improvements to our Finance Department during an administrative transition period. Mr. Herrera also was our Interim Finance Director for a few months during this period. Mr. Herrera and his staff were an immense help to me as City Manager in developing accurate financial reporting mechanisms, revising our previously adopted budget to reflect our true financial situation, and preparing the 2013 CAFR. Mr. Herrera also participated in the recruitment of an experienced Finance Director who now has taken over a department that was made more efficient and transparent due in large part to the work of Mr. Herrera and MuniTemps.
